EvenOut Privacy Policy
EvenOut is a bill and tip splitting app by ClearVoid Studios. It is free to try, with an optional one-time unlock through Google Play. There are no ads and no subscriptions.
Data we process
- Bill and tip calculations stay on your device. We do not require an account.
- Saved split history is stored on your device. That may include amounts, tip/tax settings, party size, currency, timestamps, names you give each split, and—if you use unlock features—purpose (personal or business), document type (for example restaurant bill, receipt, invoice, or other), notes, and trip tags you enter. You can edit entries or clear history from Settings. ClearVoid Studios does not receive this history.
- If you email or share one or more splits, EvenOut opens an app installed on your device and fills in a draft (subject and body, including any purpose, type, note, or trip tag you saved). We do not send email or messages, do not operate a mail server, and do not receive or store the message, recipients, or contents of what you send.
- To show options such as Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo Mail, the App may check which email apps are installed on your device. That check stays on your device; package names are not uploaded to ClearVoid Studios.
- If you use Share in Settings (“Tell your friends!”), the App may check whether Facebook, Instagram, or X are installed so it can offer those buttons. That check stays on your device. When you tap a network, the App opens that app with a prefilled message (including a Google Play link). We do not post on your behalf and do not receive what you send or publish.
- Find us on Facebook (Settings) opens ClearVoid Studios’ public Facebook page in your browser or the Facebook app. We do not receive your Facebook account data through that link.
- Receipt photos (if you use Scan) are processed on your device to suggest a total. Photos are not uploaded to ClearVoid Studios or EvenOut servers.
- Exchange rates (if you refresh conversion rates) are fetched from a public FX API and cached on your device. That request does not include your bill amounts or history.
- Settings → About shows the app version and build number on your device only (for support). That information is not sent to ClearVoid Studios automatically.
- Purchase / unlock status for optional premium features is handled by Google Play (or another authorized storefront). The App stores a local unlock flag on your device so premium features stay available after purchase or restore. Billing details are processed by the storefront under its policies—not by ClearVoid Studios servers.
Permissions
- Camera / photos — only to capture or choose a receipt for on-device scanning.
- Internet — to refresh cached currency exchange rates, open support/legal/website/Facebook links, and complete Google Play purchases or restores when available. Opening your email or share apps does not send your history to ClearVoid Studios.
